Flying from Auckland? Here is what Auckland Airport states about liquids and electronics in hand luggage.
100 ml limit
Liquids still have to be 100 ml or less per container in one resealable transparent bag of 20 cm by 20 cm or smaller, but on international flights you no longer take them, or your laptop, out of your carry-on. Domestic departures still require electronics to be removed.

What this means at Auckland Airport
- Airport states: each container must be no more than 100 ml and must fit comfortably into one resealable, 20 cm x 20 cm (or smaller) transparent plastic bag.
- Since 1 May 2024, for international flights only, passengers are no longer required to remove liquids, aerosols or gels, or electronic items such as laptops, at screening.
- For domestic flights the requirement to remove laptops and devices still applies.
- Prescription medicines are fully exempt with documentation from a medical practitioner; non-prescription medicines and items such as insulin and contact lens solution are also exempt.
- Exceptions apply for baby milk, sterilised water, baby food and wet wipes needed during the flight.
- Passengers on direct flights may buy liquids after security without restriction.
- Inorganic powders are limited to 350 ml in carry-on.
