What this means at London Stansted Airport
- Airport states: 'You can pack liquids in your hand luggage, as long as each liquid is under 100ml. These can be left in your hand luggage during the Security search.'
- Airport states: 'Liquids, aerosols, and gels over 100ml each are not permitted through security.'
- The security page does not mention a clear resealable bag for your own liquids; a transparent bag is mentioned only for duty-free purchases.
- We show whether laptops can stay in the bag as 'Not stated': the airport's security page gives no instruction on whether laptops or large electricals must be removed at screening.
- Containers must have the capacity printed on them; handwritten measurements or stickers are not accepted.
- Liquid medication over 100ml needs a doctor's letter, prescription copy or prescription label.
- Baby food and baby milk are exempt from the 100ml limit.
- Duty free: items sealed in a transparent bag at point of purchase with the receipt visible, bought within 24 hours, are allowed through.
