Istanbul Airport liquids and security rules
Flying from Istanbul? Here is what Istanbul Airport states about liquids and electronics in hand luggage.
100 ml limit
Istanbul still applies the 100 ml rule: liquids, aerosols and gels in containers of up to 100 ml, all in a single transparent resealable 1-litre bag. Take that bag out of your luggage into its own tray, and put laptops and large electronics in another tray without their cases.
| Liquid container limit | 100 ml limit |
| Clear plastic bag needed | Yes |
| Liquids can stay in your bag | No |
| Laptops can stay in your bag | No |

- "Medication is allowed in the cabin with the passenger as long as it is in its original packaging, and that the passenger can provide a prescription or a medical report."
- "Baby formula is allowed in the cabin with the passenger in reasonable quantities for the duration of the flight, provided that the baby is also onboard the plane."
- Duty-free liquids come in sealed tamper-evident bags (STEBs) which must not be opened until after the security checkpoint.
