Air Transat hand luggage rules

• Air Transat publishes in centimetres with inch equivalents: carry-on maximum 40 cm/15.5" in length, 23 cm/9" in width and 55 cm/21.5" in height; personal item maximum 43 cm/17" in length, 13 cm/5" in width and 31 cm/12" in height. Values in this record are the published cm figures ordered largest to smallest.
• Carry-on dimensions are stated elsewhere on the same site as 23 x 40 x 55 cm / 9 x 15.5 x 21.5 in, including wheels and handles.
• No weight figure is published for carry-on: "The carry-on baggage must be light enough for you to place in the overhead bin unassisted."
• 1 personal item per passenger; the personal item will be identified at the gate.
• Airport purchases, including duty-free items, must fit inside cabin baggage.
• Parents/guardians may carry a diaper bag with supplies needed for the flight in addition to their regular carry-on items.
• Due to limited space on board, carry-on baggage may need to be checked at the boarding gate.
• A compact, foldable stroller or folding wagon within the standard carry-on dimensions may be taken into the cabin instead of a regular carry-on bag.

Liquids

Maximum 100 ml/100 g (3.4 oz) per container for liquids, gels and aerosols in carry-on, placed in one clear, closed, re-sealable plastic bag no larger than one litre (one quart); maximum 1 plastic bag per passenger. (Stated on Air Transat's restricted and prohibited items page.)
