Can you take fireworks on a plane?

The short answer

No. The FAA says all fireworks, no matter how small, are forbidden in carry-on and checked baggage. Flares are forbidden too, and the UK CAA also bans party poppers.

Flares and party poppers

The FAA lists flares as forbidden. The UK Civil Aviation Authority lists fireworks and party poppers as banned.

If you need them at your destination

Buy them there. Do not try to post or ship them as ordinary parcels either, because carriers have their own dangerous goods rules.
