The short answer

Enrolment fees
TSA lists three enrolment providers and their fees on its PreCheck page.
The page does not list a separate application fee beyond the enrolment prices.
- CLEAR: $84.95
- IDEMIA: $79.75
- Telos: $85.00
How long it lasts
TSA says membership lasts five years.
Renewal fees
TSA lists these renewal prices. Renewal is free if you join CLEAR+, which requires a separate CLEAR+ payment. The Telos in-person price is lower than its online price on the TSA page as retrieved, so confirm it on the official page.

- IDEMIA: $58.75 online, $66.75 in person
- Telos: $69.95 online, $58.75 in person
How to enrol
TSA describes three steps. Submit an online application, which it says takes as little as 5 minutes. Finish in person at an enrolment location, where staff check documents, take fingerprints and a photo and collect payment, which TSA says takes about 10 minutes. Then add your Known Traveler Number (KTN) to airline reservations and travel profiles.
Children 17 and under can join an adult in the PreCheck lane at no charge.
