ITA Airways hand luggage rules

  • Stated dimensions include handles, side pockets and wheels.
  • Economy Light and Economy Classic: 1 piece of hand luggage up to 8 kg.
  • Economy Plus, Premium Economy and Business: 2 pieces of hand luggage up to 8 kg each.
  • Bags up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm get an 'Under the Seat' label on most ITA flights.
  • On full flights cabin bags may be collected at the gate and carried in the hold (excluding intercontinental flights).
  • Infants 0-23 months: Light fare with lap seat has no hand baggage; Light fare with assigned seat and Standard fares get 1 piece up to 8 kg.
  • Duty-free liquids must stay sealed in the airport security bag with the receipt.

Liquids

Liquids in containers of maximum 100 ml (or 100 g), all carried in one transparent resealable plastic bag of no more than 1 litre capacity (approx. 18 x 20 cm).
