Lufthansa hand luggage rules
- Economy Basic (short/medium-haul): 1 personal item only, no carry-on bag.
- Economy Light, Comfort and Flex (short/medium-haul) and all long-haul Economy: 1 personal item + 1 carry-on bag.
- Premium Economy: 1 personal item + 1 carry-on bag.
- Business and First: 1 personal item + 2 carry-on bags.
- A folding garment bag max. 57 x 54 x 15 cm and 8 kg counts as one carry-on item.
- Small musical instruments allowed within the allowance: height + width + length = max. 125 cm and 8 kg.
- Duty-free purchases are permitted in addition to the carry-on allowance.
- One baby bassinet or child seat per small child carried free; one foldable stroller per toddler.
- No weight limit is published for the personal item.
- Mobility aids and medical equipment are carried free of charge.
Liquids
Containers with liquids and gel-like substances may hold up to 100 ml each, carried in one resealable, clear plastic bag per person (max. 1 litre).
