Fuerteventura Airport liquid rules: 100 ml limit
Flying from Fuerteventura? The verdict, the airport's own wording and its source link are below. Checked 15 October 2026 against the airport's own website. Same rules for hand luggage and carry-on.
Fuerteventura follows Aena's network-wide rule: containers of 100 ml or less in one transparent resealable bag of up to 1 litre, one per passenger. The bag and your laptop go in separate trays at the checkpoint.
| Liquid container limit | 100 ml limit |
| Clear plastic bag needed | Yes |
| Liquids can stay in your bag | No |
| Laptops can stay in your bag | No |
What this means at Fuerteventura Airport
- Aena publishes one network-wide hand-luggage rule for all its Spanish airports; the Fuerteventura airport pages carry no separate liquids rule.
- Aena says containers must not exceed 100 ml and go in one transparent resealable plastic bag of no more than 1 litre per passenger, children included. The bag must be fully closed and placed in a separate tray.
- Staff may ask you to open containers, and liquids that fail inspection cannot go through.
- Laptops must be taken out of their cases or sleeves and put in separate trays.
- Liquid medicines and special-diet liquids needed during the trip are exempt (carry a prescription or proof where possible).
- Airport-shop and on-board purchases are allowed if kept in a sealed security bag with the receipt, unopened until your final destination.
- Aena's pages make no mention of scanners that would allow larger containers or leaving liquids and laptops in the bag. The 1-litre figure is the size of the bag, not a container allowance.
- Fuerteventura's own departures-area page covers the screening process only: a metal-detector arch at the security checkpoint, with some airlines letting carry-on-only passengers who checked in online go straight to it.
- The airport advises arriving 3 hours before non-Schengen flights and 2 hours before domestic or Schengen flights. Check-in is on the ground floor.
