Sun Country Airlines carry-on and hand luggage rules
- Underseat item (free): up to 17 inches high, 13 wide and 9 deep. It must fit under the seat in front of you, for example a purse or backpack.
- Overhead bag (paid): up to 24 x 16 x 11 inches and 35 lb. It must fit the sizer box at the ticket counter or gate.
- Price: Sun Country says options are cheapest when selected in advance, more expensive after you have booked, and most expensive at the airport. Prices vary by flight and are shown by its fare tool.
- Overhead bins are only for travelers who selected the overhead bag option. If your pre-purchased bag does not fit the sizer box at the gate, it is checked and additional charges may apply. When the bins are full, remaining overhead bags are tagged and travel as checked bags.
- Active U.S. military: one overhead carry-on free.
- Mobility devices and medical equipment are not counted as additional overhead bags.
Liquids and power banks
For TSA rules see the 3-1-1 liquids rule, and for power banks see power bank rules for US flights. Liquids are set by TSA and your departure airport, not the airline.
