What this means at Liverpool John Lennon Airport

• Airport states: 'Liquids are allowed to remain in your hand luggage without the need of a clear plastic bag, with a maximum limit of 100ml per container. There is no need to take them out of your bag when passing through security.'
• Airport states: 'Large electronic devices can stay in your hand luggage - you don't need to take them out of your bags.'
• Exception: medication (with prescription label) and baby food over 100ml 'must be removed from your hand luggage prior to x-ray screening'.
• Breast milk allowed in hand luggage in containers up to 2 litres; frozen breast milk is not allowed in hand luggage.
• Formula milk, cow's milk, sterilised water, soya milk and baby food require the baby to be present.
• The airport's help centre (updated May 2026) refers to 'Next Generation Security lanes, allowing passengers to keep liquids and electronics in their hand luggage' and says there is no limit on how many 100ml containers you carry, provided they fit in your bag.
• An older airport advice page still refers to a transparent bag no larger than 20cm x 20cm; the current Security page above supersedes it.
• The airport lists restricted fragrances prohibited at the request of the Department for Transport.
