Delta Air Lines checked bag fees (domestic)
For Delta Main and Delta Comfort customers on domestic US flights, the first checked bag is $45 and the second is $55, each way, up to 50 lb (23 kg) and 62 inches. Delta SkyMiles Medallion members and eligible SkyMiles Amex cardholders check their first bag free.

These are Delta's fees for Main and Comfort customers on domestic flights within the US, without an Amex card, Medallion status or military exception. Every ticket also includes one free carry-on bag and one personal item. Lower fees may apply depending on your date of purchase.
Weight and size limit
- Size: 62 inches (157 cm) when you add length + width + height.
- Weight: 50 lb (23 kg) for Main, Comfort and Premium Select; 70 lb (32 kg) for Delta One and Delta First.
Overweight and oversize fees (within the US)

Bags of 100 lb or more, and bags over 80 inches, are not permitted. Delta charges a separate fee for each limit a bag exceeds: size, weight and quantity.
Who checks bags free?
Delta SkyMiles Medallion members and eligible Delta SkyMiles American Express cardmembers can check their first standard bag free on domestic Delta flights. Eligible Basic cardmembers can also check a second bag free. These benefits are not available on partner-operated flights. Active military have separate allowances.
