Stockholm Arlanda Airport liquid rules: 100 ml limit

Flying from Stockholm? The verdict, the airport's own wording and its source link are below. Checked 27 October 2026 against the airport's own website. Same rules for hand luggage and carry-on.

100 ml limit

Arlanda applies 100 ml per container at every checkpoint. At the Terminal 2 checkpoint the containers go in a one-litre bag and come out of your luggage; at the newer Terminal 5 checkpoint (5F) liquids and electronics stay in the bag and no one-litre bag is needed.

  • Terminal 2: "The maximum size for containers of liquid is 100 ml and these must be placed in a one-litre bag", and "Liquids must be removed from hand baggage and presented separately."
  • Terminal 2: "Larger electronic items, such as laptops, mobile phones and cameras should be removed from your hand baggage and be presented separatly."
  • Terminal 5: "Liquids can stay in hand baggage. The maximum size for containers of liquid is 100 ml. You can have an unlimited number of 100 ml containers and they do not need to be placed in a one-litre bag."
  • Terminal 5: "Electronic items should remain in your hand baggage."
  • Swedavia says the new Terminal 5 checkpoint has modern technology, and that "The 100 millilitre regulations continue to apply in all other security controls".
  • "Be attentive to what the rules are for the security control you're in line for." Signs in the queue show the rules for that checkpoint.
