EVA Air hand luggage and carry-on rules

• Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel and Business Class: 2 pieces of hand-carry baggage, each up to 7 kg. Premium Economy and Economy Class: 1 piece up to 7 kg.
• Maximum dimensions per piece: 56 x 36 x 23 cm, or 115 cm in total. Personal items are not included in this range. Bags with a lot of depth, such as chubby boxes or sports bags, may not fit the overhead bins even if the total is under 115 cm.
• Personal item (all classes): 40 x 30 x 10 cm, or 80 cm total linear dimensions, including wheels, handles and side pockets. A purse, small backpack, briefcase, camera case or a laptop in a thin satchel-style bag counts as a personal item. A larger laptop bag counts towards your hand-carry allowance. If a personal item is over 80 cm in total, it counts as part of your standard allowance.
• Rideable smart suitcases over 7 kg or over the size limit must be checked in, and lithium battery rules apply either way.
• Carry-on is checked at check-in and again before boarding; over-limit bags are checked at the gate, and extra fees may apply if combined with checked baggage. EVA can also have a bag checked if cabin space is short.
• Power banks must be carried in hand baggage, not checked baggage.
• Checked baggage (long-haul to/from the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand): Business 2 pieces of 32 kg each; Premium Economy and most Economy fares 2 pieces of 23 kg each; the lowest Economy fare 1 piece of 23 kg. Within Asia, Economy Basic and Discount fares get 1 piece of 23 kg. Each piece up to 158 cm in total dimensions.
